Rob Farinella

FOUNDER AND CEO

In 1994, with few connections and zero prospects, Rob moved his family from New York City to Atlanta to start an ad agency. He believed you didn’t have to be in the heart of Manhattan to build a top agency, and recognized the incredible potential of Atlanta as a business-friendly hub. Within a week, he found his first client, Turner Entertainment Networks, and Blue Sky was born. As a business leader here in Atlanta, Rob is committed to making this city and our state the best place to live and work. In 1997, he was drawn to the open industrial spaces of the Westside and decided to move the Blue Sky offices there. Since then, the agency has played an early role in the revitalization of what is now Atlanta’s hottest neighborhood. Rob has held leadership roles in some of the region’s largest marketing initiatives, including representing the Georgia Department of Economic Development, a seat on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Atlanta Super Bowl Bid Committee, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Selection Committee, serving as an advisor to the Atlanta Sports Council and introduced legislation that contributes to our state’s competitiveness. When he’s not advocating for his clients, he’s advocating for others who have not been as fortunate as him. He’s helped lead numerous cause-marketing initiatives for both regional and national organizations as well as the Starlight Foundation, Childhood Leukemia Foundation, Atlanta Food Bank, The Umbilical Cure and most recently supportive of Jeffrey Fashion Cares and Cure Childhood Cancer. During Atlanta’s colder months, you’ll often find him with family, friends or a co-worker from the agency, tending to Atlanta’s homeless population at The Shrine Night Shelter.
