Kids love Razor scooters. Kids love summer camp. But most summer camps had to close or change drastically due to the pandemic—not to mention the cost for parents in financially difficult times and the challenges of everyone being cooped up at home. So we decided to step in with some sweet, virtual Summer fun on the Razor blog. We developed a character (Ray “Scoot” Zerscooter) to act as our head counselor as we updated the blog with activities and content throughout the season. From merit badges and campfire stories to scooterrific snack recipes and earning their own Razor License—kids got to add some rad to their schedules. All content was concepted, written, and created purely in-house in socially-distant settings.
