In 1994, a young New York ad executive arrived in Atlanta filled with the optimism to create a less complicated agency- one built on teamwork, transparency and heart. One that didn’t involve layers of red tape or political hierarchies. An agency that would bring a team of creative, strategy and media leaders together around one table to solve brand challenges in a more streamlined and holistic way.
With the right balance of process and grit, the formula worked. And for 25 years Blue Sky has cut through complexity, crafting effective brand strategies and memorable creative campaigns that lead to clear business results. Nimble, independent and true to our core values we continue to attract big industry talent and big brands to our roster. All these years later, that same unbridled optimism fuels the energy, curiosity and creativity that leads us to a brighter place.

We are a team of collaborative, creative and committed leaders who have taken refuge from big agency bureaucracy and politics to build an entrepreneurial culture that maximizes problem-solving and minimizes distractions. Decades spent working with some of the world’s biggest brands have taught us to be insightful. To be flexible. To move quickly. To never say never. To think differently. And to organize ourselves differently. We’d love to show you what that can mean for your business.
Just don’t. Seriously.

In her ninth year as Blue Sky’s Media Director, Melissa directs media strategy, planning, analysis and activation for all of Blue Sky’s clients. She is a proven senior-level negotiator with over 20 years’ experience in traditional and digital media – managing investments from $100K to $75 million. Throughout her tenure, she’s worked in multiple categories, but prides herself on being a retail nerd. When it comes to allocating media budgets, she treats her clients’ investments as if they were her own, and looks for creative solutions to make every dollar do the work of many.
Prior to joining Blue Sky, she led the media department at Ames Scullin O’Haire where, among other clients, she worked on all Food Lion LLC brands. Melissa began her career at Ogilvy & Mather/Atlanta before moving to the Big Apple for a stint at Merkley Newman Harty, where she managed a $50 million media budget for a major telecom account, as well as working on key fashion assignments.
In her free time, Melissa enjoys tennis and hiking, when she’s not cheering her kids on at the sport du jour.
Jason has more than 15 years of marketing and advertising experience. Before joining Blue Sky, his career has taken him to agencies like Fletcher Martin, Peter Mayer Advertising, Doner and Brown Bag Marketing where he has worked with a mix of large B2C and B2B brands, including The Coca-Cola Company, Suntory, CenturyLink, US Bank, Time Warner Cable and Flex. Jason is known for his deep dive into client industries and cultures while helping to lead agency teams and build successful, impactful campaigns. More than anything, he loves building strong client partnerships built on trust and a passion for their business to grow, compete and make a difference.
With over 15 years of experience leading the HR function across multiple industries, Dawn Evans is the first base coach that keeps our team digging deep and communicating effectively. She is a dual graduate of Mercer University with a B.A.S in Human Resources Administration and Development and a M.S. in Organizational Leadership. Throughout her career, she has brought her expertise to all levels of the workforce, from production labor to C-suite professionals.
Dawn has a passion for equipping individuals with the resources needed to succeed in the workplace and develop their careers. Being exceedingly competent in her field hasn’t diminished her appetite for sharpening her craft. She is an active member of SHRM National, Greater Henry County SHRM and SHRM Atlanta chapters.
In her free time, Dawn is enriching the lives of those nearest and dearest to her, spending time with family and spoiling her grandchildren. When occasionally treating herself, she enjoys travelling and antiquing, always happy to find a classic piece to make her home a little more homey and inviting.
Kindalle came to us in May of 2016 as a seasoned finance and accounting professional with over 17 years of industry experience. She has worked across sectors from non-profit, manufacturing, healthcare, and advertising. Having spent time in New York at OMD, her love for the advertising industry grew as did her desire to remain in the private sector of finance and accounting. The energy she brings to her role is atypical of accounting professionals but is well suited for our industry.
Her experience and personality have made a major impact on the structure of our financial discipline. Even with her old school adding machine, but hey whatever it takes, right!? When she’s not busy “crunching the numbers,” she is jet-setting across the globe in search of new and exciting adventures!
Allison is a professional stalker. But the good kind. She gets to know client brands and their consumers almost too well. Allison has spent the last 12 years honing an empathetic approach to understanding how consumers behave and think, which ultimately helps clients build objectively more successful brands. She is an expert strategist who has helped reinvigorate and drive forward some of the world’s leading brands, including The Coca-Cola Company, Bose, DEWALT and SoFi. Allison has a passion for distilling insights and research into actionable and concise creative briefs and loves seeing her creative departments develop memorable and effective on-strategy work.
When Allison is not creeping on brands, she is quasi-realizing her dreams of being on This Old House after recently purchasing a 107-year-old home which fills her free time with house projects and renovations.
